Day 1: Saigon – Long An – My Tho – Ben Tre

In the morning, we will begin our 6 days Off The Beaten Path Motorcycle Tour Ho Chi Minh City Mekong Delta with our drivers who will pick you up at your hotel and leave for Can Duoc Market – a stunning rural market (40km). The scene changes from bustling streets with buildings and noise to peaceful rice paddles with cottages and small houses on the way – in the open air.

Then take a rural route to the local ferry. Some stops en route to see farmers working on paddy fields. Cross Vam Co river by the ferry then ride to Go Cong then Tan Hoa (25km). Have some stops en-route to visit an incense workshop, through some remote villages and relax. Then continue riding from the Mekong Delta beach to Ben Tre via My Tho (45km). Stay overnight home stay in Ben Tre.

Activities: 6.5 hours of riding.

Day 2 : Ben Tre to Can Tho via Tra Vinh

After a simple breakfast with the host, then checking out and saying goodbye to the host, we cruise a boat trip on Mekong River to Phoenix Island where local handicrafts and sweets from coconut are being produced. Enjoy fresh seasonal fruits and traditional live music and songs performance. Take a short ride on a horse carriage to a typical local house to taste some homemade honey-tea. Proceed by small sampan boats through the small canals and side arms of the river to observe the daily life along the river banks with a stop and short leisurely walk at the Turtle Island. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant. After lunch at Disembark  pier in the late morning; we head for Cantho on our motors with stops on the way to experience daily life in the Mekong Delta region.

Stay overnight in Can Tho.

Activities: 4.0 hours of riding, 2,5 hours of boat trip.

Day 3 : Cai Rang floating market – and ride from Can Tho to Rach Gia

6.30AM – Ride to Ninh Kieu Pier to take a boat trip to Cai Rang floating market, one of the busiest fruit markets in Southeast Asia. We have a long distance cruise & walk on a quiet country road to take in the magnificent scenery and get close to the locals as they go about their daily routine. Back to Hotel for breakfast. Then we will have short visit to Can Tho central market and Binh Thuy ancient house whose design is a combination of Vietnam and France with interesting involved stories but also a garden with various flowers and fruits, including a wide range of orchids and a record cactus. Heading to  Rach Gia. Rach Gia including significant numbers of ethnic Chinese and Khmer. Arrival Rach Gia Ha Tien in the late afternoon. Check in hotel and free time. Stay overnight at Rach Gia.

Activities: 5.0 hours of riding, 3 hours of boat trip.

Day 4 : Rach Gia to Ha Tien and Chau Doc

After breakfast we ride to Ha Tien. On the way we stopped to visit the fishing village, Thach Dong and the beach Mui Nai, close to the border with Cambodia. Ride along Vinh Te border canal to Tri Ton, we stop over for a short visit to Ba Chuc ossuary well known as a killing field in Vietnam. Stay overnight in Chau Doc

Activities: 7.0 hours of riding.

Day 5:Chau Doc to Cao Lanh

Chau Doc is located west of the Mekong Delta between upper and lower branches of the Mekong River. The town is  famous as the gateway between Vietnam to Cambodia. Enjoy an hour motorboat trip to a floating village and Cham village, visit a mosque and sarong workshop. Check out of the hotel and cross the lower river to Chau Giang Dist. Ride on dirt track to Cho Moi, pedal past Hoa Hao Buddhist Holly pagoda, keep pedaling to Cho Moi for lunch. From this town, we take a little ferry to the Island to pedal to the Monastery, which was built 120 years ago by the French. This is the first Monastery building site in Indochina, established in 1874. In the late afternoon, ride to Cao Lanh city. Check in at the hotel and free time. Stay overnight at Cao Lanh.

Activities: 5.0 hours of riding, 1 hours of boat trip.

Day 6 :Cao Lanh to Sa Dec and end up in Ho Chi Minh City

Have breakfast and take a ferry to the other side of the upper brand of Mekong River. Start  riding to Sadec, ride past flower and ornamental gardens. Visit “Huynh Thuy Le’s house”, the house made famous in the movie The Lover, with Marguerite Duras, set in Sadec from 1928 to 1932, in which a French teenage girl embarks on a reckless and forbidden romance with a wealthy, older Chinese man. Heading back to Saigon. Arrive in Saigon arround 17:00 pm.
